Welcome to the Safer Leeds Partnership. We are the Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership for the city. Safer Leeds was formed following the merger of the Leeds Community Safety Partnership and Leeds Drug Action Team. Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnerships were established following the introduction of the Crime and Disorder Act in 1998.

Crime and disorder is an issue of national importance and - despite falling levels or recorded crime in recent years - it remains a primary concern for the people of Leeds. Crime affects the lives of everybody - residents, businesses, visitors, students, commuters and investors alike. Reducing crime and disorder is a key element in improving the quality of life for the citizens of Leeds.

The Safer Leeds vision is for people to be able to live without fear for their own safety, or the safety of others. We want to secure sustainable reductions in the crime and fear of crime in Leeds.  The Safer Leeds Partnership has it current strategy in place until 2008.
